Max and Ana Perez moved to Moberly with their 3 kids, Claudia, Nestor and Fernando in 1999. Their two other sons Michael and Eddy were born in Moberly a few years later. They opened El Vaquero in November of 1999. Working very hard, along with the rest of the El Vaquero team, they turned El Vaquero into a local favorite. A place where you can go and know that you'll be greeted with smiles and friendly greetings. Almost 20 years laterthe family has grown and the location of the restaurant has changed–but El Vaquero still remains a local favorite.

At El Vaquero you can find all your mexican favorites such as crispy chimichangas, savory enchiladas and sizzling fajitas and don't forget about their delicious margaritas made with 100% agave tequila. El Vaquero also offers some made from scratch authentic family recipes from central Mexico such as Pozole and Pambazos.
